This thread is dedicated to news of the Border Violence of Vikingland against Rosovian immigrants.
From the General News:
February 3rd, 1940
In response to the announcement of the murder of Rosovian immigrants within Vikingland without any attempt at repatriation, Comrade Karpela has ordered the preparation of forces in the Northern Theater, with the hope of convincing Vikingland of the serious nature of the situation. Commisar of the Military Ivan Vedenin has been appointed Marshal of the theater, and is expected to be prepared for anything. Basic mobilization of armed forces within other portions of the nation has been in effect for some time, and those forces are now being re-positioned accordingly.

Marshal Vedenin has ordered northern forces to fortify the river between Rosov and Vikingland. The Marshal has also called for most artillery and engineer divisions to be brought forward.
When asked for an overview of the situation, Vedenin told journalists: "I was told that the people across the river may be my enemy soon, so I am acting accordingly."

In response to King Vikingar's announcement, Premier Karpela has ordered the Northern Theater to begin demobilizing.
Premier Karpela also hoped to extend his gratitude towards Vikingar and for him to know that that his choice to avoid war saved many lives. Many citizens of Rosov feel the same way.
Some members of the Rosovian government, however, are upset that such an issue came up over the treatment of "traitors". One of said members told journalists: "If we were going to war, we should have been going to war because they didn't let us kill the damned traitors, ourselves. They left our nation and didn't deserve any use of resources on their behalf."
