Enspijk, February 8th
Former Senator Jean Winford was shot and killed early this morning. As he was returning to his home an assassin armed with a semi-automatic rifle fired two shots, both of which struck Winford in the chest, killing him instantly.
The assassin is believed to be a Rosovian man with whom Winford had been involved in frequent arguments with, mostly over his pro-isolationist views. This suspect's whereabouts are not currently known, and some suspect that he may have fled to his home nation.
Winford is survived by a wife and two children.
We shall continue to report on this situation as more information becomes available.

Lockton, February 14th
Following negotiations with the Socialist Republic of Rosov, the man suspected of killing Senator Winford has been extradited to officials of the United Republic.
Following a short trial - in which he made no attempt to deny his guilt - the defendant was found guilty of first-degree murder.
The sentence shall be announced early tomorrow, and is expected before noon.
(I know this was put up on the 15th, just pretend I put it up a couple of hours earlier.)
