Following a players, coaches, officiating, and owners lockout in the MLB of America, Hundreds of players and coaches have flooded into the SLB. The SLB with kick off its inaugural season with a draft of all new players entering the league. The picks will be decided in a lottery draft fashion, with the Callington Cardinals taking first pick.
We spoke to the Callington Cardinals head coach Joe Madden, asking how important the first pick would be. "Well, considering there's dozens off Star players coming in from America," Madden says, "It's not the first round picks that will help up with the first Sarim Series, but the steals we can get in later round picks." Madden continued to say that the Cardinals planned on drafting 22 year old Bryce Harper with the number 1 overall pick, and hoped to get a pitching ace like Max Scherzer or Adam Wainright in a later round.
The draft is set for February 25th, and spring training is expected to begin right away as opening day is set for April 10th. It looks to be a very bright and interesting first season for the SLB.
